Prayer is an integral part of our lives and plays a major part of our selection of mares and stallions. After the homework is done, we pray for guidance. God has blessed us with some spectacular foals and we give Him all the honor and glory for our successes.

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
II Chron 7:14

Oldenburg Inspection 10/10/09 YouTube video

Oldenburg Inspection Oct. 10, 2009

Both Quintessential Hit, by Quarterback x Stellar Hit, and Serengetti, by Starlight x Wochenshow, received Premium Foal and Foal of Distinction awards.

In addition, both mares are Premium and received "Mare of Distinction" awards as well.  It was unusual for the Oldenburg inspectors to have three generations presented at one inspection:  Quintessential Hit out of Stellar Hit out of Wochenshow — son, mother and grandmother all at the same inspection.  The inspectors made some very nice comments about the quality of the mares and their foals and appreciated being able to see them all together.

I really had not given this much thought until it was brought it up.  My thinking is always to breed in such a way as to "improve upon the improvement" and in this case, it certainly was the result I had hoped for and more!!

Next year we are expecting the two half sisters, Stellar Hit and Royal Elegance (both out of Wochenshow), to present their offspring at the 2010 Oldenburg inspection.  Stella (Stellar Hit) is in foal to Rousseau and Elle (Royal Elegance) is in foal to Voltaire.  This will be another opportunity to see how Wochenshow's legacy carries on in her two daughters.

Seminole Grow Right Testimonial Dec. 2009

Isaac: I wanted to give you this testimonial about the Wellness Feed Grow Right. My 10 yr old Oldenburg mare and her foal from this year have thrived ! I changed my broodmares over to this feed when they were about 6 months in foal. When we went to their inspection in October, this foal was 6 months old, there were numerous comments about how great the mare looked with such a large foal still nursing. No one at the inspection kept their foals with the mother this long.....we always leave our foals with their moms indefinitely, so it's important to provide them the best nutrition available. I took these pictures on December 2, 2009, this foal is going on 8 months old and you can see they both are in excellent flesh. The mare is not rebred and I have no plans to wean.

BTW, my stallion is on the Show and Sport and he is more than maintained (he's on the fat side!!) and he gets l/2 scoop once a day. THANK YOU Isaac for recommending this feed and for your continued advice. I appreciate your being so knowledgeable of the products you offer....God bless you and Merry Christmas!!!

I'm really sold on the Seminole Wellness feed.
